During the events taking place in Daggerfall, Morgiah is the Princess of Wayrest, and after Lady Brisienna the second person to contact the player for an audience pertaining the main quest.
While not one of the most important characters in the game, Morgiah has nevertheless become one of the most popular. This portrait is a trip back to my childhood, really, when I sat playing Daggerfall for hours on end, to the chagrin of my parents. Now that Daggerfall is apparently released for free download, I can only hope many of you can experience the awesomeness that that game is, like I did so many years ago. For this portrait, I used nothing else than the ridiculously small, horribly pixillated portrait the game provided when you spoke to Morgiah. It was fun to take on the challenge of using such a pixillated portrait and turning it into an actual person. |

"Cute? You mean like smurfs 'n sh**? Nah, I don't do cute."
The shading on the face is a bit dark for my tastes, I probably would have kept the skin tone white ( or paper color) and just done the shadows, but that is a personal preference. I've been told by a few art teachers that I "draw like an architect", which is funny because I was one. LOL

" From sleeping visions, daily were torn. In waking hours, hopes are forlorn. Is all we do and all we dream doomed to drown in a hopeless stream? "

"A man may fight for many things. Love, honour, country, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn! You're on!"
Well, everyone has his style, and since I've been accused of drawing "too light", I'm practicing bringing more darks in there.
As for "drawing like an architect", it's a style like any other. The only bad style is "boring"

I figured you'd like it, but I was too stubborn to draw your attention onto it
