Part-time Runner, Full-time Badass

Coyote from Shadowrun Returns, the recent but gloriously old-school role-playing game by Harebrained Schemes, whose members are all industry vets, some responsible for the wonderful Shadowrun RPG on the old SNES.

The title of this piece is actually the blurb under her name in the hiring menu, and dammit if it isn't completely justified. Coyote is an absolute monster if you hand her a shotgun, and her half price means that from the moment you recruit her, you're guaranteed to bring her along for every single Run you do.

The scars on her face were earned during her recruitment mission, and she refuses to let them get removed, letting them instead serve as a reminder never to get stupid again.

She spends her time off with her boyfriend Paco, or on her own, belting along with the '80s rock she plays in her room, so loud she can be heard in the hallway. Only a part-time Runner, she also tends bar at the Seamstress' Union when she's not blowing away all opposition during a Run. She reputedly serves a mean cocktail.
